Leslie Wedding

“At last… My love has come along… My lonely days are over… And life is like a song.”

This day was the prime example of making God laugh by making “plans.” We had all the time in the world to adventure out and create the most gorgeous of images with these two adorable people… but God said “watch this!” And made rain that I can only describe as giant fog. I mean seriously, it wasn’t just coming from the sky, it was like walking through a light swimming pool! Ugh.

So we make the best of the time and space we had. And best of all these two got to spend more time on their wedding day, enjoying each other, than any other couple. From first looks, to seeing and appreciating all of their hard work on their reception space, to quite moments on the couch.

I absolutely loved being a part of their day. Donald and Heather are a beautiful creative pair that I can’t wait to spend more time with. That being said… give me another crack at this dress! And stay tuned this spring because we’re going to do just that!

Congratulations Leslies! Marriage is going to suit you to perfection!

How Did You Meet?

Heather : We met on match.com. I winked at him and luckily that got his attention. We met in person about a month later at the Starbucks inside Barnes and Noble in Saginaw.

What advice do you have for other brides?

Heather : Plan your wedding in a way that makes YOU happy. Don’t think about traditions or hurting feelings or being scared of thinking outside the box. Ultimately the day is an expression and celebration of your love for one another…don’t let that get lost in all of the details and planning.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Donald : Seeing her for the first time.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Heather
: My favorite thing about our wedding day? How can I narrow it down?? I absolutely loved the feeling I had standing at the bottom of the H Hotel stairs waiting for our “first look” picture…my eyes instantly filled with tears when I saw Donnie (and he hadn’t even turned around yet!). All of the emotions that came in that moment are hard to beat.

What advice do you have for other grooms?

Donald : Remember that it is your day. Don’t worry about anyone else.

How long have you known each other?

Heather  : It actually hit me on our honeymoon that we didn’t even know each other two years before we were married. We were a couple of weeks shy. But the amount of time is irrelevant when you know you’ve met the one.

How long have you known each other?

Donald  : Two years.

What would you change about your day?

Donald : The weather. It rained all day. Hopefully it is good luck like they say it is.

What would you change about your day?

Heather : The rain, of course! Ugh….our whole wedding was centered around our photographs since Donnie proposed during a birthday photo shoot he had planned for me. Knowing we missed out on hours of amazing pictures at the Tridge, Dow Gardens, and downtown Midland is pretty much heartbreaking.
