Lama Wedding

“You never said I’d have all I ever wanted… but you said just seek me… seek me and I’ll give you more… than you ever dreamed for…”

I wanted to do something a little different for this wedding, because I found it to be a little more special and unique…. So I asked Kerry to tell me the story of how she and Bijay met, in her words. She is and amazing girl, with heart, spirit, humor, and God… in a way that I rarely see in person. Her story is a lot longer than this, and each piece of it would make you love her a little more… I only had 8 hours with her, and I’m a hard person to amaze. This girl will do it.

Kerry : I was in Nepal working on a project to get some stories translated.  During that time I was using my voice recorder a lot for my work, it was always on my desk, many days I would just grab my guitar and sing from my heart to God.  I recorded some of these times and eventually thought they were somewhat decent enough to record more professionally.  Through a friend of a friend I was connected with a recording studio in Kathmandu.  During one of my last recording sessions I needed a djembe so the manager of the studio went to his church on his motor bike to get the drum, and needed someone to hold it while he drove back.  Bijay was the person that helped transport the drum.  Bijay arrived at the studio and I immediately thought it was a set up.  After being at the studio here and there different days I had become friends with the manager and he had taken to heart to find me a husband, Nepalis take this seriously.  So I encouraged Bijay to find me on Facebook and we became friends, he sent me a message wanting to go out for tea and we hung out a couple of days later.  He still claims that this was not a date…but I think it was…and we are still not sure if it was a set up or not.  😉

Kerry and Bijay plan to go back to Kathmandu soon to do some sort of ministry with children. I wish them all the love, luck, and happiness in the world!

I love love LOVE first looks! It makes the day go so smoothly! And nothing beats this awesome time you get to spend, just the two of you, getting images to portray your love on your wedding day, without a time constraint.

A special thank you to Megan for giving us use of the GORGEOUS

Bijay’s family couldn’t make the trip from Nepal, nbut they did a great job of combining their cultures and customs into this perfect blend <3

I thought this was the sweetest addition to a wedding I’ve ever encountered. nThey say actions speak louder than words, and the symbolism of this ceremony is truly meaningful.

How adorable! Llamas for the Lamas <3
