Lauren Ricketts

Meet Lauren…again. This doll has graced this page before! I have been shooting Lauren’s family for 10 years this year, and when she was in 8th grade, she joined The BSC Elite. This family is committed, and as much as I fight the family picture portion of events, I do appreciate that very very much. Lauren is a senior at Goodrich High School, which means the miles they’ve put in officially beats any other. We had originally planned to do a big trip for Lauren’s senior session but this year definitely had other plans… for everyone. So I’m really glad she chose to spend the whole year with me and complete The BSC Experience. Seeing how much she’s changed in the past year is amazing. Here’s to seeing what we can get up to for her college graduation in a few years! 😉

I was on the dance team for 4 years, it had always been my dream growing up to be out on the football field performing like I saw the dance team do. I joined marching band mostly because of the Disney trip that happens once every 4 years but I stayed with it through all four years

I’m most looking forward to the senior “walk-through” where all the seniors put on our gowns and walk around all of the schools in our district while all the students are lined in the halls clapping and cheering for us.

I agreed with a lot of the safety precautions that were taken involving Covid-19. I think that in a time where everything was up in the air, every organization did their best to plan accordingly with the information they were given about what was and was not safe.

I would most definitely recommend the experience to others because I loved it so so much. It was cool to have pictures over the span of my entire senior year as opposed to just one session because I got to see how much I changed as a person. I loved getting to showcase different outfits and hairstyles with all of the different seasons, and it also gave me an excuse to see Leslie some more 😉

My current after graduation plans are to go to grand valley state university, I have been accepted into the honors college and I will be living on campus in the dorms. I am currently undecided on my major, but I am mostly stuck between dance and some form of education as my main goal is to one day open my own dance studio.

I chose blacksheepchic for my senior pictures after having been on the bsc model team since eighth grade, there really was no one else who I could see capturing my personality in my senior pictures like Leslie can.

My session went almost exactly like I assumed it would go, I had a great time getting my pictures taken and catching up with Leslie, and then I loved the pictures more than I ever thought I would when I got them back.

My favorite thing about my sessions was that Leslie pretty much just went with whatever I said I wanted, including traipsing through the snow so I could look like an ice queen for my winter session.

My favorite look was my summer session when I wore a bright pink dress and we went to a more “beachy” location, there were a couple younger girls who walked by and said I looked like a princess which made the whole day even better.
