Ludington Wedding

“Baby, we’ve come a long way, baby… You know, I hope and I pray that you believe me… When I say this love will never fade away…”

It had been too long since our initial meeting. But I walked into Chelsea’s parent’s home to the most beautiful bride imaginable. Her mother was an adorable mess, cleaning the kitchen in this gorgeous space. Chelsea and she having this gorgeous moment of finishing touches and details.

Off to the church to meet up with the boys and have a few laughs over the giant Jesus drawing… he had a few dozen more teeth than was probably accurate. The church was well lit and had some beautiful stained glass, and I fell in love with my new lens, Sally!

To be honest when we first met and they told me of this March wedding all I could think was “all of that brown!?” But man, did we completely luck out! Snow storms during the week, plus a last little glimpse of sun when we pulled into Apple Mountain, I couldn’t be more pleased!

Chelsea and Cutler are one of the sweetest couples you’ve ever met, and I am completely jealous of their Italian honeymoon! So glad to have them back so I can share all of their day with them, once more! Enjoy!

How Did You Meet?

Chelsea : We met at a Christmas Party held by Cutler’s Meme, who is also a friend with my mom. The party was supposed to be an all adult party, but I was invited even though I was only 17 and Cutler was her “butler” for the night and was responsible for people’s coats. Throughout the night, my mom continued to tell me I should talk with him, but I refused and continued to talk with her friends. When we were leaving, my mom claimed she couldn’t find her keys in her purse, so she went to another room and left me with Cutler, therefore forcing me to talk with him. I remember talking very loudly with him and about tennis, and he remembers me as the only guest having a coat a color other than black (it was red). We continued to talk from there!

How Did You Meet?

Cutler : My grandma (Meme) knew Chelsea’s mom and they both thought we’d be a great match. During our senior year in high school my Meme threw a Christmas party for friends and family and had me work as the “door/coat man” dressed and suit and all! Well I was working the door when in walked a stunner!! We spoke briefly before she continued in with her mom and gave me her coat, which turned out to be an amazing conversation starter! At a party of over 50 people the coats start piling up and without a lot of planning I soon had a pile of 50ish black coats. Well Chelsea was wearing a really nice red coat that stood out among the others and allowed me to bring it right to her and with her mom “conveniently” misplacing her keys we were able to talk further and share info that quickly turned to daily communications and soon turned into dating!

What was your favorite part of the day?

Cutler : Seeing Chelsea walk down the aisle looking as amazing as a woman could ever look
and being able to tear up the dance floor together.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Chelsea
: The entire day turned out to be my dream wedding. I got to marry the man of my dreams and I am so lucky that I get to call him my husband! Picking out my favorite part is incredibly difficult… From the ceremony, it was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Cutler. Being able to celebrate with all of our friends and family was another favorite. I loved bringing both of our families together and showing each other traditions be it through the group Jameson’s shot, or being out on the dance floor with everyone dancing to “We are Family.” Walking into the ballroom and seeing all the decoration choices come together and seeing all of our guests was also a wonderful feeling. Each piece of the day made the entire experience my favorite.

What advice do you have for other grooms?

Cutler : Take a deep breath and know that everything will work out if you work together. Cherish every moment because time flies! Let loose and have fun, being able to join families together and something amazing!

What advice do you have for other brides?

Chelsea : I would tell them to make sure to enjoy each piece of the planning process, because everyone always told me that my wedding day would go by in an instant (which it did), but no one told me how fast each piece of planning went by. I would also tell them to not stress out over various small things the parents want for your wedding, like adding an extra guest or telling you the RSVP cards are a different color than the invitations and they should be reordered, because in that moment it is incredibly stressful, but everything comes together in the end.

What would you change about your day?

Cutler : I wouldn’t change anything about that amazing day.

What would you change about your day?

Chelsea : There were no big mishaps, and everything flowed perfectly. I would not have changed a thing.
