Andrew Vance

“Live right now… Just be yourself… It doesn’t matter if that’s good enough for someone else…”

Showing up for Andrew’s session was an experience unto itself… I understand a little bit of the small town mentality, everybody knowing everything. But this was a new one for me. I arrive at the cottage for Labor Day weekend, and no less than 8 people ask me about this big shoot! So here’s to hoping we don’t disappoint the masses 😉

My parents bought a place on Crooked Lake, in Clare when I was 5 years old. That was, lets say, a few years before Andrew here was born. And I love the people there, one of the first people I met, outside of my immediate neighbors, was this guy’s uncle. From there you meet everyone, starting with his family. So when Nancy calls me up and says “It’s that time… Andrew’s a senior!” We make it happen!

So those who know me, know fashion is a pretty big part of my life and love… and when Andrew shows up with CAT t-shirts… all I can do is shake my head and make it work. The insanity of it alone, I couldn’t say no. But his own enjoyment of these ridiculous shirts makes it totally worth it.

Rock out senior year Andrew! Can’t wait to see you next year to hear all about it!

What school activities do you participate in?

I participate in the Lake Fenton Marching Band, I have been a part of the band for five years now, I have always enjoyed making music and working with other members on creating exciting shows for everyone.

What are you most looking forward to senior year?

Graduating for one, but working at the Elementary School to help the younger kids is also fun.

What are your current plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to attend college to obtain a degree in teaching.

Why did you choose blacksheepchic?

It was recommended to me and seemed like a very unique experience.

What do you think makes blacksheepchic different?

As the name implies, it’s different from the norm, and has a very interesting view that I haven’t seen from other photographers before, like implementing fun in an activity that is normally seen as “Oh, let’s just get this over with.”

What was your favorite thing about your session?

It was fun, something you don’t normally see in a photo shoot, going to different places in the town, and having a very good time.

Which was your favorite look?

I liked the Tie with the purple shirt and the jeans, especially with the cat shirt.
