“Dream… about the things… things you know you wanna be… baby dreaming’… don’t let anybody say… walk this way…”

Something about those last minute fall sessions… last year it was Sarah, the artist from Freeland who brought the cool looks… this year… Meet Maddie! Class of 2017 at the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy! Killer artist, killer looks, and all the fashion! Be still my heart!

I mean seriously, how come I wasn’t this cool in high school?! Maddie wanted to rock her Luxe senior session in Old Town Saginaw, and we did just that before wandering off on a blacksheepchic adventure. We all know by now that my favorite place is someplace I haven’t been, and man, we found a few amazing spots for this girl!

Wanna know the best thing? This isn’t the last time you’ll see her either! We have big plans for her BSC Creative shoot, hopefully before the snow falls! Stay tuned!!!

What school activities do you participate in?

I have been a member of Chemistry Club for 3 years, Philosophy Club for 3, Robotics for 1 season, and a layout editor and creator for ICONS, a literary and art magazine. I do these activities to gain experience, knowledge, and leadership skills.

What are you most looking forward to senior year?

In my senior year I am mostly looking forward to graduation day. This is something I’ve been looking forward to for the past 12 school years, not just senior year. I’ve worked extremely hard all of these years and I’m excited to receive credit for my accomplishments and move forward in my academic career.

What are your current plans after graduation?

After graduation I plan to attend an art school and earn a BFA. My top college is University of Michigan’s art program The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design. I want to go into graphic design/ illustration and work in advertisement and communications. During my college experience I would like to study abroad and take a trip to Europe or Japan.

Why did you choose blacksheepchic?

I chose blacksheepchic because I had seen some work done for other seniors and students. I liked the style of photography and a lot of the locations used.

What do you think makes blacksheepchic different?

I didn’t think the session would be as personal as it was. Leslie was very kind and funny and guided me along create the best possible outcome for my pictures.

What was your favorite thing about your session?

My favorite part of the session was the locations we shot at. I feel like she understood what I was looking for in a location and took my requests into consideration.

Which was your favorite look?

My favorite look was the fall look with the green poncho, hat, and crop top. It was very cold that day and covering up was a relief after a long session!
