This year I have taken on more than ever…and what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?! Before I could even make it to attempting our first team activity with The BSC Elite, small groups have ventured down to cheer on our girls at the Mid-American State Pompon Competition… and THIS. The snow this year has come and gone without notice, in true Michigan style, and I had to take hold of the one day we had without frostbite temps and before it all melted. Regan (in pink, from Heritage High School), Rachel (in purple, from H.H. Dow High School), and Lizzie (in teal, from Freeland High School) were up for the challenge of standing in the snow for me and these beautiful images. Hair and Make-up by yours truly, I thought we needed a little spring/summer spunk in our lives as we bare the rest of the dreary winter days. Enjoy!

I joined The BSC Elite to meet new people and get out of my comfort zone. Meeting new people is what makes me happy and helps form long lasting friendships. Sometimes it gets old hanging out with the same crowd so it’s important to branch out. I’m able to find myself more by trying new things, being in front of the camera more, and being confident in myself. – Regan

I have always been obsessed with modeling but had no experience or knowledge of doing it myself. When I first walked into the room and saw the dress I got to wear I fell in love! I was a bit anxious about going into the cold, but when I was surrounded by people who were constantly making me laugh, it made the shoot enjoyable even though I was freezing. Leslie was also so helpful with what I should do, and how to express my inner self in the pictures. I felt amazing. Looking back on the shoot, I wish I could do it a million times over again. I loved everything about it and had so much fun. It was so unexpected and I have already learned so much. The shoot, the girls, and Leslie helped me to improve my confidence, make me feel comfortable, and make braving the cold enjoyable! – Lizzie

Before I knew anything about the shoot I was quite scared. I wasn’t sure what to expect and when she said ‘big curly hair’ I was like, “Oh Boy, This is going to be interesting!” But come to find out I was quite happy with how everything turned out. I was also worries that I wasn’t going to be very “model material.” My skin wasn’t clear and I’ve never really been in front of the camera like that. During the shoot I felt like I could conquer the world!! I felt so beautiful and confident!! Although I feel like my poses could improve as the year goes on! After the shoot I felt very empowered and very happy with myself because I did something that I wanted to do for a very long time… and loved every minute of it!!! – Regan

I joined The BSC Elite because I wanted to meet new friends who have the same interests as me.

So far I am so happy I was able to be a part of The BSC Elite. The girls are so amazing and supportive and I’ve already made so many friends that mean so much to me!
It’s honestly a life-changing experience and I wish everyone could be a part of this group. – Lizzie

Before the shoot I thought of how much fun it looked liked the girls were having and how awesome the pictures turned out. I was so excited when I was asked to do this shoot because I couldn’t wait to see what the experience was like. During the shoot I had a ton of fun with Regan and Lizzie even in the cold! Leslie and the girls made me laugh so much and I’m so excited with how everything turned out! After the shoot I was so glad to be a part of this amazing group of girls and I can’t wait for the rest of the year…. and hopefully many more after this year as well!!! – Rachel

I joined The BSC Elite because I’ve heard so many amazing things about it! The places you get to go, the friends you get to make, and the fun you get to have in the process. It’s more than just senior pictures or photo shoots, it’s making bonds with the people you’re surrounded with while doing these things. – Lizzie
