As with all of my sessions, Sam, Cody, and I headed off for a little adventure. I haven’t been out to Tobico Marsh very often, and apparently the name didn’t send up flares in the “BRING BUG SPRAY” department… oops. If I have a guess, Cody’s hurting today. Mosquitos love him as much as they love me apparently! But, we made the most of the lush green woods and the beautiful winding marsh land… even if the pups weren’t so keen. I can’t wait to see these two a few months from now as we celebrate at my old church! Until then!

Tell me about your first date/impression :

Samantha : I always think FATE brought us together because I had always went ‘downtown’ for a drink towards the end of the week, was fairly consistent, however I had never ran into Cody or his huge group of friends for the exception of the August night that we had randomly met. We were first introduced at the bar but then ran into each other again at an after party. We talked a little more however nothing ever came of it.

The next day, I could not get Cody out of my head. I kept thinking about the connection we had physically and spiritually. I remembered his first name, but never got the last name and had no way of contacting him.

Exactly one month later we ran into each other, again, at Retro Rocks. Cody was out with his big group of friends. We exchanged numbers. I didn’t really think anything would come of it but he ended up contacting me the next day.

For a week straight, Cody tried to get me to go on a ‘real’ date with him, he was very persistent, smooth and had a maturity to the way he communicated with me.

We went on our first date and it was nothing like I expected, lol, but I had a GREAT time! After that first date, we have been inseparable! I thank God that he brought us together. Aside from all the fun, laughing and adventures, Cody roots me… he keeps me afloat. I am a BIT of a control freak and he is good and letting me control enough but not all. His presence relaxes me…..he is patient with me….I feel SAFE with him …..and most of all I feel LOVED by him.

We truly are a team and that is what I love the most. Together we are better.

Tell me about your first date/impression :

Cody : After meeting for the first time we didn’t see each other for over a month. After the second time seeing her I knew that I had to get her number before I lost my chance again. After about a week of begging her to go out on date with me Samantha finally gave in and gave me a chance. We went out to eat and had a great time. I was nervous that she wouldn’t want to go out again but as I dropped her off after dinner she didn’t want the date to end so she asked me if I wanted to meet her dog so we could spend more time together. After that the rest is history.
