Noble Wedding
Sometimes, things work out better than you ever could have imagined… this is one of those days. First the ceremony site was changed due to an event in the park. Then I was a little afraid that we would get rained out. But I woke to straight blue skies and sunshine for Rachel and Nathan’s big day! We had a few challenges, including crazy winds coming off the bay, but in the end it looks like we were barely affected! AND best of all, somehow there was this unaccounted for hour, where instead of insisting on going to a bar, Rachel and Nathan agreed to go on an adventure with me, for some alone time and stunning portraits.
How did you meet?
Rachel : I met Nathan through my brother Alex since they were coworkers. Nate came to a musical that Alex and I were both in so I met him there, and then started working at with Nate a few years later.
How long did you know each other before tying the knot?
Rachel : I started working with Nate 4 years ago, but it’s probably been longer since my brother used to work with Nate so I was probably introduced to him when I was 16 or 17.
How did you meet?
Nathan : Her brother introduced her to me after a musical, then a few years later I was lucky enough to work with her, in which we quickly became best friends.
What would you change, if anything, about your wedding day?
Rachel : I wish I could go back and tell myself to not be so nervous that morning! Once I walked down the aisle, I realized that there was absolutely nothing to worry about, there was nothing but love and support from everyone.
How long did you know each other before tying the knot?
Nathan : Six years in total, but it wasn’t until four or so years ago that we began working with each other.
What advice do you have for other first time grooms?
Nathan : Don’t stress because everything will work out. Also, try to enjoy the moment because it will go by very quickly.
What advice do you have for other first time brides?
Rachel : Relax and have fun! Your family and friends love you so much and it will be the best day of your life!!!
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Nathan : Celebrating with the people I cherish the most, there was so much positive energy throughout the day. Meeting Rachel’s family from around the world over this past weekend has been one of the best experiences in my life.
What would you change, if anything, about your wedding day?
Nathan : I truly wouldn’t have changed a thing.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Rachel : My favorite part of the wedding day…there are so many happy memories it is hard to pin it on one thing! I guess I would have to say dancing and having a great time with family, friends, and my new husband!
Something you should know about me, if we haven’t worked together yet… and it may be the deciding factor of whether or not you would like to… I have an opinion, ask, and I’ll tell you. (Ok, sometimes you don’t have to ask 🙂 But I’m also willing to go along with whatever timeline you choose to set up on your own. The difference is shown in portraits like these. When you place the time for photography, ahead of the time for drinking with friends, you’re left with a variety of images to cherish for the rest of your days together.
