McNeil Wedding

It was a day full of emotions, that’s for sure! I love Cami, I mean how can you not?! And from the look of this wedding I’m not alone! Holy cow, I’ve never seen so many people! From a beautiful service and a priest that allowed flash and free reign in his church, to a stunning golf course with more gorgeous details than I know what to do with! (Wait for it… the miss-matched china was to die for!) And as I heard multiple times over the course of the evening, this girl throws one hell of a birthday party!

How did you meet?

Cami : Garrett and I met through our moms. They’ve worked together for a while and then I started seeing him around at parties with mutual friends.

How long did you know each other before tying the knot?

Cami : Oh gosh. Well, we dated for 3 years officially before getting married but we’ve known each other for about 10 years?!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Cami : Trick question right?! Everything, from beginning to end was so special. Spending the day with friends and family who mean the world to us, holding hands and enjoying our moment on the alter, seeing our nieces and nephews all dressed up, the bus ride, our speeches given for us at the reception, the venue…shall I go on?

How did you meet?

Garrett : Moms worked together for years, went to the same school always thought she was hot. Rest was history.

What would you change, if anything, about your wedding day?

Garrett : To do it over again I would try and not spend the amount of money I did.

What would you change, if anything, about your wedding day?

Cami : I definitely wouldn’t change a thing, but there would be a few things I would do differently if I could rewind it. There were almost 500 guests at our reception. Trying to find everyone to say our hellos, thank-yous, and good-byes was very difficult. I wish I could have found every guest and thanked them personally. With a crowd like ours, it’s just too hard. I hope everyone understands how grateful we are!

What advice do you have for other first time brides/grooms?

Cami : “Live in the moment”-Erica VanAlst (one of my best friends). The day goes by so fast, whether you agree or not. From hair and makeup, nervous ride to the church, the moment you step into your dress or tux, the second you first see the love of your life, straight down to the last dance…just live in the moment. It’ll help fight back tears, keep you smiling from ear to ear, and make you realize just how lucky you truly are.
