Maggie Reed
My first non-“Elite” senior this year was a total win! Maggie is a senior at H.H. Dow High School in Midland and is active in theater! (You should go check her out at the Center for the Arts this summer in The Little Mermaid! You know I will!) So of course she needed to throw a little stage presence glam into her session! Though I am perfectly honest about what I feel my skill level is with indoor lighting, I am beyond excited with how they turned out <3 It was an all around amazing evening exploring Midland with Maggie, her mom, and another trusty assistant rocking the behind the scenes on Instagram and Snapchat!
What school Clubs/Activities are you involved in?
I sing in the choir at my school, take voice lessons, where I like to study classical and musical theatre music. I have always loved to sing, and I’m drawn to classical music because it’s a challenge. It requires attention to detail and technique, which makes it feel awesome when I finally master a piece. I’m also involved in community and school theatre programs. I’m the president of the Dow High Drama Club and a student board representative for Teenage Musicals Inc. I love acting because it involves exploring people and why they do what they do. It’s also a great way to make friends and take risks.
What are you most looking forward to your Senior Year?
I’m looking forward to choosing a college. Even though it can be stressful, I love the process of exploring different opportunities for my future.
What are your current plans after graduation?
I plan to go to a college where I can study music. I’m not sure exactly what I want to major in, but I’m considering music education or vocal performance.
Which was your favorite look?
The denim romper with the black hat. I loved the outfit, but I especially loved it with the location.
Why did you choose blacksheepchic?
Somebody I know had pictures with blacksheepchic and I really liked them. I did some more research and really loved the quality and variety of photos she’d done.
What do you think makes blacksheepchic different than other photographers?
It seemed like she was trying to make my shoot personal and unique. I know that my pictures won’t be the same as anyone else’s!
What was your favorite thing about your session?
Pictures at the Center for the Arts. I’ve done so much there and it was really special for me to have my senior photos done there.
