Lizzie Angulo
I adore Lizzie’s style and spunky personality! Old Town Saginaw is always a fun place to revisit and we found some perfect spots. I can’t believe that I got someone to rock the black fringe dress in all of its glory! Another perfect addition to The BSC Elite, she is a complete joy to have on the team! She is going to take senior year by storm!
What school Clubs/Activities are you involved in?
I’m a senior on the varsity pompom team for my high school, have been pomming since 6th grade, and am also proud to be a fourth year member on the Mid American Allstar team. I have been a member on the track team for every year since 8th grade and participate in open events and relays that are 100 to 400 meters in length. I also partake in field events such as high jump and long jump. Not to mention I play the center position on an all-girls travel hockey team out of Midland that placed second in states this previous year. I have been playing hockey for 8 years now, since I watched my brother play for a year and decided I wanted to try too, and am still always eager to get on the ice.
Why did you choose blacksheepchic?
I chose blacksheepchic because I was friends with girls that were on previous elite teams who had really enjoyed being part of the group and had amazing pictures. I also loved how unique the pictures were and how so many girls from different cities and schools were able to become so close. In fact, I was recommended by multiple people to join the bsc elite, but I didn’t need the recommendation. I chose blacksheepchic for the friendships, pictures, and memories that will last a lifetime.
What are you most looking forward to your Senior Year?
For my senior year, I am looking forward to being a senior. Being a senior comes with a lot of responsibility: you are now a role model for an entire district. Not only do the younger high schoolers look up to you, but the middle schoolers, elementary kids, and the learning center kids. This means you have to be doing the right thing at all times because someone is constantly looking up to you. As sad as it makes me, I am looking forward to my final year of high school sports. Since I was young i’ve been told “last time best time” and I hope to perform up to that phrase. I plan to value every memory and make every moment count because before I know it, it will be over.
Which was your favorite look?
My favorite look from my session was the red jumpsuit. I loved all the bling jewelry I wore with it and how elegant it looked, especially with the water fountain background.
What do you think makes blacksheepchic different than other photographers?
I think blacksheepchic is different from other photographers because she creates bonds with each and every client she has. She has a super bubbly personality that is hard to find and can make even the angriest person laugh with her goofiness. She is also always paying attention to small details to ensure everything is perfect and done well. She makes any type of shoot fun, whether you’re in a backless dress in the winter snow, or in a fur coat in the summer heat. I felt as if I looked to the negative when preparing for my session. I thought it was going to take forever and I was going to be so hot and uncomfortable in my clothes and have to be posing nonstop, however, even though it was humid and 85°, I never felt like I was hot because I was having too much fun. Bringing a speaker and jamming out and laughing while shooting made everything enjoyable and go by so much faster. I felt as if my session flew by!
What are your current plans after graduation?
After graduation I plan to attend college for anywhere from four to six years. I am still not decided on a college or major, but am interested in psychology, criminalistics, and the legal system. After or during college I would like to travel the world and perhaps move to a southern state -Florida, Texas, California, Arizona- to settle down for the rest of my life.
What was your favorite thing about your session?
My favorite thing about my session was having supportive people surrounding me. We were all constantly singing or laughing, and they never made me feel bad about myself. I got good pointers and they hyped me up when I hit a good pose. Leslie, Rachel, and my mom made me enjoy my shoot so much and i’m so thankful for them!
