Jennifer + Matt
This could not have been any more awesome! Let’s be honest, things are always best when the groom is actually excited and open going into this session, and Matt definitely was ready for something spectacular. From prep to the drive to shooting to dinner, we had the best day! It may have been a little chilly, but 60 degrees beats freezing temps and snow! And these two are perfect for each other, it’s particularly heart warming when I get to shoot people who are checking the same box for age brackets as myself. Sure, seeing the young ones in love is nice, but finding your perfect person after you’ve learned more and experienced life just seems to mean a little more. (I am in no way calling you old, Jen, we both know you look way younger than me!) I hope to see a lot more of this fun couple and can’t wait to celebrate with them!

How did you meet?
We met at a My Young Professionals networking event at the Great Hall in Midland. At the time we met I was a realtor and this my first time attending these events (didn’t know at the time it would also be my last time attending) – Jennifer
She came into the event late. She sat at the table in front of me, so I obviously noticed the gorgeous blonde. At the end of the event the speaker gave us an inspiration quotes to share with others. She was sitting next to a friend of mine, so I used that as an opportunity to meet her. I thought she was very intelligent and funny. I NEVER get nervous when I meet people, but I was nervous with her. Which was very odd. I guess my sub-conscience knew that she was special even before I knew. I wasn’t even sure if our first date was a “date”. The hours slipped away to laughter and conversation and it became obvious that it was a date. I was smitten. After that date, I told a friend of mine that I wanted to marry her. Now I get to. – Matt
Matt walked up to me at the end of the networking event and struck up a conversation. By the end he had asked me to meet him for a drink at Larkin Beer Garden the next day but I wasn’t really sure if it was because he wanted to network some more or if he was asking me out on a date. I didn’t say yes at first because I wanted to Facebook stalk him first to make sure he wasn’t a creep. So I told him I needed to check my schedule. So after I did my quick “research” I decided it would probably be ok to meet up with him (but I did tell my mom where I was going to be and to check on me later that night ). We met up and talked for quite awhile but I still couldn’t tell if it was a date. It wasn’t until a couple hours later I came back from just using the restroom and he was leaning against a wall and when I walked up I naturally turned into his stance against the wall where later I realized his arm was behind me and then it hit me I think we might be on a date! He asked to walk to the Tridge with me to go look at the stars (which might have been dumb on my part now that I think about it being that it was pretty much a stranger) and when walking he said if your hands are cold I can warm them for you which I thought was sweet. We held hands on the way to the star gazing and then he kissed me once we got to the Tridge but if you ask him he will say I was the one that made the first move I thought the night had gone well especially when he asked me the next day to hang out again that weekend. It was our second date we knew we would probably never date anyone else again. – Jennifer
