It’s not often that I see seniors from Western High School, but man am I glad that I got to meet Grace and her mom this year! At first glance Grace comes across as this shy little girl… but did she SHOW OUT! From our style consult where she brought so many cool looks it was hard to narrow it down, to the end of that consult where they drop the bomb that she dances AND rides horses!!! What?! Ok, change of plans! <3 <3 <3 And then to top it off, on the way to the farm, we run across a location I’ve been dying for for YEARS! The “car boneyard” may mean nothing to other people, but it was a totally out of the box adventure for us and I was SO excited! (The girl at the desk was definitely surprised by my request! LOL) Above all I hope that Grace and her family love these images for years to come, just as I do!

What school Clubs/Activities are you involved in?

I’ve been involved with the Tech Crew for 3 years now. I’ve always been obsessed with theatre but I never liked to be onstage, so when I signed up for tech crew I was just fascinated with it. I love working shows and being apart of something so interesting. This is my first year on the dance team at my school. I’ve been dancing for 14 years outside of school, but since this is my senior year I decided to try something new and be apart of the dance team.

Why did you choose blacksheepchic?

I chose blacksheepchic, because I saw some of my friends pictures and thought that they were really cool and amazing.

Which was your favorite look?

My favorite look was the 70’s flower shirt with the high waisted jeans. I really liked how the outfit tied together with the scenery, and the shirt is definitely one of my favorites in my closet.

What are you most looking forward to your Senior Year?

I’m looking forward to spending time with friends who I won’t be able to see as much out of high school. Even though I’ll still be able to keep in touch with them, it will just be really different not seeing them everyday.

What do you think makes blacksheepchic different than other photographers?

The session was really laid back and super fun, and I got to take pictures in really pretty settings, and with my horse, where I feel if I went to a different studio/photographer I wouldn’t be able to do the things I was able to here.

What are your current plans after graduation?

After graduation, I really want to go to college to pursue a teaching career. I’ve always liked working with kids, and teaching would be a fun job because I am able to work with kids, and take summers off to travel. I’m not quite sure what college I want to go to yet, but I do know that after I’m done with school, I want to move to Chicago or New York City.

What was your favorite thing about your session?

My favorite thing was definitely taking pictures with my horse, Zeek. The outfit was really pretty and I got to take pictures with a horse which is very interesting, and pretty amazing.
