So, we had a little bit of a rough start. Starting with the fact that neither of us had realized that it was going to be the holiday weekend when we scheduled! We had grand plans to go down to the Renaissance Center in Detroit, where Brandon proposed…. only to have it squashed by the crazy number of people down there for a festival! Oops!

So last minute, we decided to scratch that plan and make a new one. We headed over to the Atwater Brewery area, found a prime parking spot, and went on our merry way!

I love cities, within a couple of blocks we found a treasure trove of cool color and texture; industrial, greenery, fields, ivy, gorgeous gold doors, and the water front. Can’t wait to see what these two have in store for their country barn wedding in September! Now that’s some diversity! Girl after my own heart!

Oh and a special shout out to Andrews on the Corner, the block down from Atwater… their food was quite delicious! You should stop by for the reuben and tasty waffle fries if you’re ever in the area!
