Davis Wedding
“Watching I keep waiting… till anticipating love… Never hesitating… To become the fated ones…”
Being invited to photograph the wedding of someone you’ve known for most of your life is both a great honor, and absolutely terrifying. The honor part… is pretty self explanatory. The terrifying part…runs deep.1. If you screw up, most of the people who know you are going to know about it. 2. Getting people to respect and listen to your direction when they’ve known you since 4th grade (and given you your most dreaded nickname…I’m talking to you, Josh), is a dramatic test of my skill level. That being said… there will be two blogs for this wedding… this one, and the one showing the battles I didn’t win. (Which may have also had me rolling around on the ground in fits of uncontrollable laughter.)I am beyond happy for this guy to have found his match… Even greater than that, I’m ecstatic that he found it in Lindsay, and has given me the opportunity to get to know her.
I am in love with the wedding she put together, and her trust to let me pick an out-of-the-box location for portraits. The way colors pop against an urban landscape (and the front of Peace Lutheran Church) shows a richness that speaks to me.
If you’ve read this far, leave this awesome couple some comments and love! See you soon for the blooper real 😉
