There are a couple of families that will keep popping up… and this is one of them! From engagement pics, to wedding, to newborn, to family! I grew up with my cousin Heather, born less than a week after me. A few years ago she met and married Joel, the most perfect addition to our small extended family, and a great balance to her personality. Their (first) baby girl (we’re hoping for more 😉 arrived a year and a half ago, and is one of the loves of my life! She is growing so fast, and not living in Michigan full time, my interactions with her aren’t as frequent.But I am loving the rate at which she learns…and the little things that just grab my heart…like when she will come and take my hand to pull me off the couch, drag me to the kitchen and point to the sweets she knows are on the counter! Talk about history repeating itself! This is exactly how I picture my first interactions with my Auntie (Heather’s mom) from early on…always the one to give me all the goodies I wouldn’t be allowed at home! My Auntie and I have always been great friends, playing games in the motor home, teaching me to downhill ski… and I can’t wait to teach this one everything I can as well! In fact…I already got her a shiny pair of tap shoes from Goodwill!
