Holly Wedding

“I’ll never stop trying… I’ll never stop watching as you leave… I’ll never stop losing my breath… Every time I see you looking back at me…”

Nothing makes me happier than when girls come to me first thing…because having me as a part of their big day is one of the most important aspects. #honored It was funny, however, when Sarah says “Ok, but you can’t tell Jenna… I haven’t told her yet!” (Jenna was one of my beautiful 2015 brides, and she and some of her bridesmaids rocked it out again for Sarah!)

I met Chris the day of the wedding… and I’d say he stepped up to the photography plate in true style. This wedding was definitely one for the books. (Albums?) Absolutely perfect. For what what going to be a rainy day, we managed to capture everything we needed before the downpour. We waited out the rain and out came the sun! Perfection!

I can not WAIT to spend more time with these two! There will be more to come, as we’re doing things a little backwards and fitting their “engagement”, ahem, “newlywed” session into the Fall season after the wedding! And after that….just you wait. These girls are going to help me with something BIG! It’s going to be EPIC!

How Did You Meet?

Sarah : A mutual friend told me to add Chris on Facebook. With some encouragement I did and then did nothing about it. He said he accepted because we had a few mutual friends. After a few weeks Chris liked a picture I posted of my cousins black lab. A few days later he private messaged me and asked why I added him. I was like “oh shoot, make something up Sarah” . Well luckily he was a mortgage loan officer and I had been looking at a house so I told him someone suggested I go through him. He believed me and asked something about the house which I told him I backed out of because it was in a flood plain. We then had some small chats back and forth and he said something about me being very pretty or something to that effect. He then asked me out to this barn party, gave me his address to meet him at his house and was pretty forward. I thought he was a little cocky at first but I agreed to go but then had second thoughts. I reached out to the friend (Jenn) who told me this guy was great and I wanted to made sure she knew him well. I also ran the idea of meeting up with him by a few co-workers at the time and they were not impressed. They didn’t want him to “hurt me with one of his softball bats” since that seemed to be what most of his pictures (of course they were just looking out for me). So I suggested an icebreaker (in case he was a true creeper). We met at Fricks bar and the conversation went great. We proceeded to the barn party and many dates continued until I eventually had to tell him why I originally added him as a friend. It was worth the secret though. Our first date was at this barn, Chris’s proposal and our wedding day!

How Did You Meet?

Chris : I met Sarah on my first and last Blind date. Through a friend through facebook. I thought why not ask her to tag along to a barn party that my friend was hosting. It would be a great place to meet and there would be no pressure on either of us. We met at Frick’s Bar and I knew the moment I saw her she was the one. She took my breath away. I truly was at a loss for words. It was the best first last date I will ever go on. I knew in my head after that night I had met the girl I’d waited 37 years for and I hoped I would get to see her again.

What advice do you have for other brides?

Sarah : Well…I booked my photographer first out of everything.

(*Let’s just take a minute to appreciate this answer, lol.)

What was your favorite part of the day?

Chris : Seeing Sarah for the first time in her dress.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Sarah : It’s hard to pick just one thing but I would have to say seeing the look on Chris’s face when he first saw me.

What advice do you have for other grooms?

Chris : Love the person for who they are.

How long have you known each other?

Sarah  : Chris is way better at this than me….I don’t remember dates, just memories!

How long have you known each other?

Chris  : One year and three months.

What would you change about your day?

Chris : Nothing! It was amazing because I got to marry Sarah.
Sarah : Nothing, no matter what was going to happen on this day (good or bad) it was a blessed day.
