This was not the easiest of engagement sessions to pull off! Between their schedules and the uncooperative Michigan weather, we were challenged! First this was supposed to be fall… then with rain and time restraints, we pushed it to winter. Everyone was good with this. We spent hours finding just the right looks to shine in the snow… then… no snow. Like ever. What the heck?! So we give up that dream and move to spring… of course… more rain. And then… there was THIS! A beautiful spring day with flowering trees, tulips, and sunshine! I couldn’t be more pleased! And I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with these two in LESS THAN A MONTH! Bring on wedding season!

How did you meet?

Chelsea : The first time we saw each other Chris was wearing children’s scuba flippers duct taped to his feet for a fraternity “event” and I was hobbling around on ONE crutch while recovering from knee surgery. Needless to say, it was not love at first sight, but it was nearly impossible not to notice each other. Thus began the heart warming love story of FLIPPERS and CRUTCH.

What was your first impression?

Chelsea : Our first official date was at the Olive Garden. I remember thinking that my Italian Grandmother would love him for his restaurant selection and because he was a real gentleman. I knew I had found what she always referenced as, “The Real Mccoy.”

Chris : First date was at olive garden in Jackson, MI. I was nervous, as she was a very beautiful girl and I did not want to mess up, but excited at the same time. I initially thought how amazing this girl was and try not to mess this up.

How long had you been dating before getting engaged?

Chelsea : A very long time, lets just say that we are celebrating our Common Law marriage with an official wedding ceremony 🙂
